The crop parameter in HandBrakeCLI defines, what you cut out, not what
you keep. --crop 4:0:0:0 should do what you want. Or did I misunderstand
your question?


Also, your workflow looks a bit tedious to me. I use the built-in cut
list editor of mythtv. Then I added the code from mythcutprojectx to my
userjob. Everything will be done in one go without me doing anything
manually, apart from setting the cut points. Finally, a cronjob looks
every 10 minutes whether there is a watched recording with a cut list
and starts the userjob.
