Gary’s final parenthetical comment is quite significant.  It is early days for Silicondust’s PVR system.  Essentially they’ve been doing beta testing of the backend portion for the last couple of months.  None of their native playback apps have emerged as yet.  As they used to say, the last 20% often takes (another) 80% of the time and effort.  I like Silicondust and I wish them well but they do have a very ambitious plan...
