Only it's not.  The 39" 4K panel I bought in 2014 cost less than the
37" 1080p panel from 2011 which it replaced.  You may not feel a
compelling reason to upgrade, but if you do need a new panel, it would
be insane not to at least consider one at 4K.  I wouldn't buy anything
less today.
