[mythtv-users] Database issue? Recordings not showing up in frontend

OK, my setting for “Time to retain deleted recordings (day):” is set to 0. When I looked at the recordings view and hit the M button and selected Change group filter then there wasn’t a deleted group. I then deleted a recording and looked again and there was a deleted recording and I assume it will be deleted sometime today.

The recording I deleted doesn’t show up in mythweb under the “Show Group” “All groups”, but it does show up when I look at Deleted. All the things under the Deleted group look like old shows that I deleted a long time ago, but for some reason they haven’t been removed. In Mythweb they don’t show a small picture of the show (don’t know what that is called) like the ones that I have deleted recently do. I’m not sure what that means.

How does the front end know what shows to display? I can’t imagine that it asks the backend every time it has to display a list of shows, but maybe it does.
