Foldoc gives the etymology as having originated in Yiddish.

From The Free On-line Dictionary of Computing (20 July 2014) [foldoc]:

  glitch

/glich/ [German "glitschen" to slip, via Yiddish "glitshen",
     to slide or skid]

I suspect that pre-dates the Apollo missions by a bit.
