OK, thanks.  My frontend does complain about UDisks not provided and it 
looks as if I tried a patch for UDisks2 at some stage.  There was some 
other mention of UDisks/Udisks2 quite recently.  My el7 master builds 
haven't moved beyond the qt4/qt5 watershed yet, and I don't see udisks 
in the el7 repos anyway.  I'm living with it - but it might help someone 
else.

As for the OP's problem - if it isn't SG related I suspect it might 
arise from differences in the default ways that Myth/vlc handle the 
various restrictive practices in dvd creation.
