I was quite surprised to see all the ports enabled in the diagnostics. I may write a script to see what test-mpeg2 can capture from each channel, easier than checking 5C for each channel unless there's a way to script that. I grabbed a segment of last night's Jays-Rangers game in HD from a channel only the DCX can get so that felt promising. I have read about Shaw being random, but maybe because I'm a business (not residential) customer I get special treatment? I would have thought that the ports would all be locked down by now - this box has been around quite a while and has the "new" HD menu. If firewire works it'll be a lot tidier than getting an HDPVR involved, but if not I have one handy.
