That seems to be a matter of hotly debated opinion.
Some "smart" TVs also have support for running as a DLNA client.
Personally, I think having a real frontend is better, even if it's a
low powered system like the ECS Liva. You can velcro tape one of
those to the back of your TV and not even know it's there.
