The last (new?) market I recall they successful entered was the
market to record game play (which the HD-PVR enabled).  They
more recently have tried to enter the smarthome market (but I
suspect they will be crushed by big players there).

There was an opportunity to take their good engineers and
reinvent their business.  I think it may now be too late.

Perhaps I am being too pessimistic.  Like a phoenix,
they could rise from the ashes.
