There are a number of minor bugs with 14.04 which is what mythbuntu is based on
eg
if you drag a vlc window then the video disappears
eg
The whole USB 3 saga
others

but as a backend (mine does owncloud, dhcp, dns too) then mythbuntu is small and lean and works well. I’d recommend it.
I’m a geek but I want the mythbackend to just work, not to use all my day and nights :-)
If you install 15.10 you may need geek-juice to get the monitor to display!
