I have thought about switching over to Kodi for the tv frontend, and have
tried it a few times.  Seems to work okay.  Never really gave it a lot of
effort.
I use Kodi for music and movies.  I have yet to have a video that did not
play in Kodi.  It has been a while since I tried myth to play movies.  I
switched to Kodi/Xbmc a few years back because myth was struggling with
playback of some videos.  Never have looked back.
And the music interface is better than myths imo.  Plus with all the
plugins Kodi has, it is hard not to have it as part of my htpc.
