In kernel there is support for:
NEC protocol
RC-5 protocol
RC6 protocol
JVC protocol
Sony protocol
RC-5 (streamzap) protocol
Sanyo protocol
MCE keyboard/mouse protocol

I don't see yours, so you could be right.
