[mythtv-users] Frontend Startup Failure

I am running mythtv-frontend 
0.27.4+fixes.20150507.45d2d51-0ubuntu0mythbuntu4 on a ECS Liva. It was 
working until updating today. Now I get the background image of the 
theme, but then it just drops back to the prompt. The log ends with a 
number of messages about failing to mount the root drives partitions.

First, with the liva, the 'harddrive' is the mmc device. One of the 
partitions is already mounted and the other is a lvm pv.
Secondly, what is the FE doing to trying to mount things anyway?

The WAF is in the toilet as the FE is completely down.
