Perfectly accurate conjecture.

I have no insider knowledge of any of the internal workings of the
Hauppauge corporation. I'm just a customer and former fellow Long
Island resident.

Although even if Hauppauge were to sell its last 1212 today, I suspect
they'd be on eBay for quite some time to come. After all, there are
currently 73 running auctions for my first "pc", the Timex Sinclair
1000. Given how us crazy Linux people represent a minority of the
market, there probably won't be true scarcity for some time to come,
even if we all tried to buy a few.
