Daniel just resaying my earlier post:

MythTV Player does not work for me at all and I don’t know how to and why to.
I do compile my own mythtv app (long story: I could not get the distro version of mythtv to work, but my compiled version did, I’m using Arch Linux 'cause I need recent kernels that fix broken USB 3, cause my intel NUC has only USB 3 ports)

So words of wisdom most welcome
