[mythtv-users] VDPAU Dark Playback

As part of my 0.24 to 0.27.4 update, I upgraded my two frontends to 
Nvidia 340.76. I know that's not the most current but as I recall there 
was an issue running the most current Nvidia on CentOS 6.6.

In any case I am seeing that playback is noticeably darker on both 
displays than previously. One is an LCD TV the other a plasma. I am 
aware of the "Gamma" setting in /etc/X11/xorg.conf and actually have 
used it before. Turning it up helps but it only goes so far before the 
dark tones wash out without providing any additional detail.

Both frontends are set to VDPAU High.

I have looked through the Myth 0.27.4 playback setting but haven't seen 
anything that might help.

Any ideas?
