I've never used a hostname in over 9 years of using mythtv

config.xml tells the frontend (and backend) where the database is - it's
finding that as I can play TV and videos OK.

Static IP addresses throughout my local network.

Works OK in Chrome, chromium and Iceweasel (free firefox) - fails in
Konquorer and mythtv.
