Solved it. Some sort of theme issue.

I manually searched the settings table and found that the new host did 
not have a "Theme" entry. I manually inserted one for the host and 
filled it in with the theme I have used on my other front ends: 
Mythcenter-wide. The display now comes up.

I don't know why the default theme didn't come up or why a default 
wasn't entered in settings. Lots of other settings entries were made.
