Opening line: Every franchise is unique.

In most locations with Comcast, the premiums (HBO, Showtime, Starz,
etc.) are reported to be copy_once (in addition to being subscription
restricted).


Your location will vary.  Some settling occurs in franchise agreements
(which typically run for 10 or so).  Some national contracts will expire
at different times (and typically run for a few years each)  and so on.
