[mythtv-users] Would a capture card by any other name still record as sweet?

To me, something that generates a stream of bits being recorded would be 
most accurately described as an "A/V Source" or "A/V Device". (Note that 
it might be audio-only.) A method of physically connecting that device 
by a wire or other means would be an "Input". A source of guide data 
would be a "Program Guide Provider".
