I run my own server and that message was flagged as "spammy" for me as well.
Just looked at the raw message, and (part of) the problem is the AHBL_RHSBL check :
> * 2.7 DNS_FROM_AHBL_RHSBL RBL: Envelope sender listed in dnsbl.ahbl.org
This blacklist is obsolete, and according to this page has been set to return positives for all queries (to force people to update their systems !) :
http://www.ahbl.org/content/last-notice-wildcarding-services-jan-1st
> As promised in April, on Jan 1st, 2015, i'll be wildcarding all zones no longer in operation - this includes rhsbl.ahbl.org, dnsbl.ahbl.org, and ircbl.ahbl.org. This means that these services will return positive responses for any queries.
Oops !
Now, all I've got to do is find out where the check is configured - ah, found it in SpamAssassin. It's still there in the latest version in Debian.
I also see :
> * 1.6 FORGED_YAHOO_RCVD 'From' yahoo.com does not match 'Received' headers
So it's the old "Yahoo is a commonly forged sender, so mark it as spam" problem when the message has been relayed by another system (in this case, the list server).
So in my case, it's the combination of these two checks that's flagged it as spam. As for Gmail users - you'll find that Google (amongst others) are wedding the the fatally flawed SFP and expect all mailing lists to adapt (aka break the systems) to their way of doing things.
