[mythtv-users] VDPAU Normal profile defaulting to Advanced 2x for 1080i?

As per another thread on the list, my GT 430 is acting up and I'm
waiting for a replacement I ordered. In the mean time I wanted to
force it to use one of the temporal de-interlacers rather than
Advanced 2x.

When I switched to VDPAU Normal and played a 1080i recording, and then
went into the menu to Video -> Advanced -> Deinterlacer, it had
Advanced 2x selected. At first I thought that menu display might just
be wrong, but running with -v playback seems to confirm it:

2015-01-09 09:52:55.575541 I [8327/8327] CoreContext
mythxdisplay.cpp:201 (GetRefreshRate) - Doubling refresh rate for
interlaced display.
2015-01-09 09:52:55.575763 I [8327/8327] CoreContext
videodisplayprofile.cpp:354 (GetFilteredDeint) - VDP:
GetFilteredDeint() : vdpau -> 'vdpauadvanceddoublerate'
2015-01-09 09:52:55.577057 I [8327/8327] CoreContext
videoout_vdpau.cpp:364 (SetupDeinterlace) - VidOutVDPAU: Enabled
deinterlacing.

I though that by virtue of the >=720 rule in there, that it would use
Temporal 2x with a fallback of Temporal 1x.

Am I missing something there? I actually ended up creating my own
forcing it to temporal 1x with just one >=0 rule.

Tom
