[mythtv-users] Live TV Playback - Is There a Fix?

Does anyone know how to have live TV always use vaapi instead of 
sometimes using ffmpeg? Is there a setting that needs to be set? Is this 
a bug in the system? Can it be fixed?

The jerkiness of live TV via ffmpeg make the program unwatchable.

The only work-around I've found is to exit live TV after moving to the 
next selected channel, and then re-select live TV. It seems the system 
always uses vaapi for the first channel when entering live TV. This 
work-around has low WAF.
