It's all overhead in many places.  Power, TV, phone, NSA monitoring
network lines....  it all goes on the poles.

My record outage so far is a few hours short of 7 days.  The UPS on my
backend couldn't survive that one.  Thankfully that sort of thing
doesn't happen very often.
