FWIW, the HDFury devices convert HDMI to component, not HDMI to
composite. I don't know if you'd need that or not to record HD from
the V-PLUS box. With the scart output, you definitely won't get HD.

I convert to component and spit that into the 1212. Woks fine, but is dependent on cable quality.

I'll be using Composite or SVideo out from the V-Plus box, since there's no component out from it. Maybe I should consider the HDFury2 so that I can get HD Video, but, to be honest, I'm not really that bothered about HD.

 
Are all channels encrypted out of the V-Plus box, or just the HD ones does anyone know?
