We simply use BubbleUPNP coupled with BSPlayer for playing MythTV 
content on the local LAN, works great - You can list recordings by date, 
name, genre, category, channel.  Ive tried a few of the Myth "frontend" 
apps for both iOS and Android, and so far none have worked that great, 
if at all.
