[mythtv-users] libmythswscale.so missing after compiling (centos7)

i've been trying to get a new mythtv MBE to run once compiled, on a new centos7 minimal install.

i've grabbed mythtv fixes/0.27 from git, ./configure; make; make install and there's no obvious warnings or errors - it appears to compile and install correctly.

however, when i run 'mythbackend --version', i recieve the following: "mythbackend: error while loading shared libraries: libmythswscale.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". Doing a file search, it is present at <local git clone>/external/FFmpeg/libswscale/ and /usr/local/lib/

does anyone have a solution for this - i guess i'm missing something, but not sure what and i'm not finding anything definitive online either.
