[mythtv-users] interface an Anrdoid STB with MythTV system?

I had a little extra cash and decided to buy one of these low-priced
Chinese-made Android STB-type thingies off Amazon and fiddle with it a
bit. I went for the GooBang Doo M8, which seems to have Kodi pre-installed
as well.
I should be able to just hook the device directly to my monitor (I'm not
using a TV, having instead a large LCD monitor connected to my Myth box)
using my trusty HDMI to DVI adapter for some initial experimentation. If
the device proves useful, however, I might want to try and somehow
integrate it into my MythTV system. In addition to an HDMI port, it has
USB ports, an ethernet jack, and wifi. So there may be alternate ways to
get broadcast content out of it.
I wanted to start off by asking here whether other list members have
experience with these things and specifically with integrating them into a
Myth system? Can anyone point me to any how-tos or other relevant
information? Thanks.
PS I suppose there may be an actual acronym for these things--MSB (media
streaming box), maybe? I'm new to them so am likening them to STB's, which
are somewhat familiar to me.
