EIT can be disabled per-channel, to allow you to use Schedules Direct or
XMLTV for some channels on a given Video Source while using EIT for
other channels that aren't covered by Schedules Direct/XMLTV. This is
done in the Channel Editor:
----
Use on air guide
If enabled, guide information for this channel will be updated using
'Over-the-Air' program listings.
----

EIT can be disabled per-Video-Source (and should be) if you do not
intend to use EIT on any channel on a given Video Source (i.e. because
Schedules Direct/XMLTV covers all your channels). This is done in the
Video Source settings:
----
Perform EIT scan
If enabled, program guide data for channels on this source will be
updated with data provided by the channels themselves 'Over-the-Air'.
----

If "Perform EIT scan" is disabled for a given Video Source, there is no
need to disable "Use on air guide" for any channel on that Source.
