Tom-
May not need that, but would appreciate a reality check before I proceed.
Based on what you had previously posted, I went and ran "file" on the two
iguanaIR library files I could find in /usr/lib/ --
/usr/lib/iguanaIR/libusb.so and /usr/lib/libiguanaIR.so and found that they
were both i386 binaries.
Looking at the repo file I created,
/etc/apt/sources.list.d/iguanaworks.list, I found that I had only added the
source and binary-i386 repositories from IguanaWorks. I uninstalled the
iguanaIR package, switched to the binary-amd64 repository, ran "apt-get
update", and then re-installed the iguanaIR package. Now when I run file
on the /usr/lib/* iguanaIR libraries, they get reported as 64-bit x86-64
versions. I then re-ran the lirc build and succeeded in producing four
*lirc*.deb packages, so I think I'm good to install the
lirc_0.9.0-0ubuntu5_amd64.deb and lirc-x_0.9.0-0ubuntu5_amd64.deb packages.
My concern is that the names include amd64, while I am running on an Intel
CPU. Is this an issue/conflict?
