I have a Hauppauge PVR-500 which came with an MCE remote - yours may
be similar to that.  It is less likely to be similar to the later
Hauppauge HVR-900 & Nova TD-500 remotes I have (which are identical).
There is a file with copies of my Mythbuntu 14.04 configs for all of
these on my web server:

There is a README that gives some information about how I have done my
configuration and how to test your config at all stages.
