Using a supply which has (at least) the amp rating
will not hurt, but the specs necessary may be less
than the supplied power bricks rating (again, check
the SD specs FAQ).  That is because if you
are a HP, willing to commit to a million units, you
get exactly what you want.  And if you are a SD,
with more modest commitments, your supplier
may have something with a greater rating at a
better price than something more custom.  A
clear case in point is that the HDHR3-CC supplied
PS used to be a 5V/3A unit, even though the
current PS is a 5V/2.5A unit (which is all that
is actually needed).  For an individual, the price
of the available (to them) supplies might vary
significantly between those two supplies.
