[mythtv-users] Remove black border from recordings

Dear list,

I have the following problem. Recordings that were captured using my
HVR1900 tuners are played back within a black border, whereas videos are
not. Can I remove these borders without also losing some of the picture
when viewing videos?

I guess this problem can be approached from two angles:

- Is it possible to tell the capture device which part of the video
signal it should be interested in?

- Is it possible to determine different X/Y magnifications and offsets
on a per-source basis?
