Apple appears to enforce the FairPlay encryption , without it the
iphone won't attempt to establish an Airplay session...
This impact all hacked implementation of AirPlay, including xbmc.

Now advertising that we do support airplay with FairPlay would make
video playback work, but that would disable AirTunes then (audio
only).

So you can get one or the other, but not both :(

Typing this email just gave me an idea.. Maybe we could do what we
used to do in earlier version, have two different service showing: one
audio and one video. You would then have to switch between the airplay
device on your iPhone all the time, but at least it would still be
possible to do both, just not as convenient as it used to be...
