Thanks for the suggestions!  Yea, the two antenna option isn't
happening.  Interestingly, I just tested an approach for these one-off
NFL recordings that's surprisingly workable:

I was already aware that you can tune invisible stations in LiveTV.  I
just tested and discovered that hitting the record button while you're
doing so in LiveTV does in fact record the current show for invisible
channels even though the scheduler wouldn't, and it appears just fine
in the recorded programs as well as the upcoming recordings screen if,
for example, I wanted to edit that end time etc.

Another thing hadn't occurred to me:  I was primarily worried about my
use of "This channel" filters because of the apparent requirement to
delete and re-add by video source (and thus the channels) with the
upcoming SD change.  I was totally forgetting that the primary keys
for those will be the same for the newly created channels (based on
the channel number) as long as they don't already exist.  This means
that my existing rules with "The channel" will probably be fine
anyway...though it looks as though I could get rid of those filters.
