Yeah -- but that would only change the contents of the config.xml file, not the 
mythconverg database or anywhere else that password is required.

Don't forget, mythtv is modular and the frontend, backend, database and mythweb 
could all be on different hosts. The system can't assume anything about where 
other parts might be, so it won't attempt to change every place where the 
password for the mysql user of the mythconverg database might be.
