[mythtv-users] Metadata storage groups not available on remote FE's

I made the jump from 0.26 to 0.27 a couple weeks ago and all seems to be
working with the exception of certain metadata on my remote front ends.
I'm able to see cover art for recorded programs, but unable to see any
cover art when browsing the video gallery. When I attempt to select a new
cover art file from within the remote front ends, the file browser
apparently fails to see any of my storage groups; same story for fan art,
trailers, &c. I'm still able to read the plot summaries and other
text-form metadata, it's just the corresponding media which is missing.

Oddly enough, the cover art (and other metadata) shows up when I SSH into
the backend and when I browse mythweb.

Given that 0.27 has been out for a while now and I haven't come across any
threads already discussing this, I'm guessing that this is an isolated case
with the machines on my network and not worth of a bug report. The systems
involved are:

Back end - Gentoo
Front end (Primary) - Mythbuntu
Front end (test to confirm issue is not specific to primary machine) - OSX

Thoughts?
