Any conjecture on how that would impact the
"LiveTV" crowd as you constantly hit the end
of the buffer (I can imagine a constant
jitter/judder/shudder experience)?

[FD: I do not do LiveTV, so do not really care,
but historically there is a very vocal group who
do care about this legacy approach to viewing
content.]
