 As far as remotes go there could be this:

..which relays remote commands via HDMI.

I'm don't know if CEC is supported by MythTV yet (I'm still running 0.25
which doesn't).

My LG TV is able to control XBMC running on a Raspberry Pi quite nicely
using the TV's remote and receiver. (LG call it Symlink).
