[mythtv-users] Using the MythTV editor with DVB radio recordings

I don't think it's been possible until recently to create a cutlist for
DVB radio recordings, but LVR mentioned it in Ticket #10848 and his
patch was committed as part of one of JYA's monster bundles in July or
August this year.
mythDVBcut can apply the cutlist but I haven't had success with
mythtranscode. Unfortunately mythcommflag --rebuild doesn't work for
radio, so the edited recording has no seektable and its duration is not
updated.
The original seektable (mythutil --getmarkup) has 'keyframes', time
stamps and byte offsets at 8-frame, 320 ms intervals.
I would normally go on to create a pure mp2 file, for which these are
irrelevant, but it would still be convenient to be able to rebuild the
seektable, and so far I haven't found a convenient way of using myth
tools to examine the new file and do that. Any suggestions appreciated.
