Since I'm running 0.26 on CentOS 6, my upgrade path to 0.27 is blocked by
the Qt library issue. So, for now, I simply located what appears to be the
latest version of ttvdb.py at:

https://github.com/MythTV/mythtv/blob/master/mythtv/programs/scripts/metadata/Television/ttvdb.py?source=cc

>From what I can tell so far, this newer version of the script is able to
resolve season and episode numbers for showings that the older script could
not. However, it appears as though the myth setting to "Automatically Look
up Metadata" does not work reliably (or at all), but if I run the script
manually as root, such as:

#mythmetadatalookup --chanid xxxx --starttime yyyy

the script works and season/episode data is populated.

The investigation continues. My next experiment is to define a user job
that runs mythmetadatalookup as above (with appropriate parameters like
%CHANID%) and see if that works better than the normal myth checkbox
selection to look up metadata.
