Looks like mismatched versions of MythTV and mythlink.pl.

The Python bindings are the best way to create new scripts for MythTV,
but no one has rewritten mythlink.pl functionality using the Python
bindings (and doing so probably doesn't offer much of any benefit over
the still-functional mythlink.pl), so it's still the best way to get
user-friendly file-system views of your recordings.

=======================
Hi Mike,

The error message seems to come from the MythTV.pm module, which i
notice is version 0.26git. It seems that this version is packaged with
libmythtv-perl 0.27. I noticed there is also a "0.28git" version of
MythTV.pm - and tried using this - however it then has issues with xml
schema version (evidently in order to use this version I would need to
upgrade all MythTV packages). Is there a working version of
mythlink.pl and MythTV.pm with 0.27?

Lastly, I couldnt figure out how to reply directly to this thread, so
copied it from the digest.

Thanks,
Rob
