I have used it and it is nice, but I still generally use Mythfrontend.
However, I have been investigating inexpensive Android hardware to use
as XBMC frontends to help my father out. Charter went all encrypted
digital and they want $7/month to rent an STB. He has 7 TVs, so it's
expensive to outfit them all, especially when some are only used when
guests are there.
XBMC running on a $50 Android stick interfacing either to an HDHomeRun
directly or a Myth system makes getting content to extra TVs a lot
easier and cheaper than building anything, plus Netflix and other apps
are available. The main issue is not all are capable of deinterlacing
1080i broadcasts. But, long story short, XBMC integration is definitely
something on my mind lately.

Double-OT: how well does the Fire TV handle 1080i mpeg2?
