[mythtv-users] channel [re-]scanning removes callsign and name data

I had always understood that channel scanning was supposed to be
idempotent and would not alter the information for channels which
already exist.

I just ran a channel scan and have noticed that for a number of
pre-existing channels the callsign and name have been removed from the
database.  Not all channels but just some.  Of course this is pretty
annoying.

Is this a known issue or should I go open up a new ticket about it?
