[mythtv-users] Update question

I had a generic update question -

For my backend - I am on CentOS 6 -2.6.32-220.17.1.el6.centos.plus.x86_64

MythTV Branch : fixes/0.27
Network Protocol : 77
Library API : 0.27.20131021-1
QT Version : 4.8.4

For my Frontend, I am on CentOS 6 - 2.6.32-358.18.1.el6.i686

MythTV Version : v0.27-56-g29eab51-dirty
MythTV Branch : fixes/0.27
Network Protocol : 77
Library API : 0.27.20131021-1
QT Version : 4.8.4

My question was two fold:

* Is there any significant update on our Mythtv side that I should update
my myth version?
* Is it okay to do a "yum update" on either one or both Linux systems? It's
been a while so the update show me 651 Mb worth of installation on the
backend. I didn't want an update on the Linux side to break my myth.
