You probably just need to add or edit the ZM_VERSION setting in 
ZoneMinder's config file usually located at /etc/zm.conf

There should be a line in there like this
ZM_VERSION=1.26.5

I know that setting has been removed from newer version of the config 
file so you may have to add it.
