I can link to my photo whenever artwork wasn't found.

this could be made as a setting. There's already a setting in the code
that provides a "sensitivity" behaviour. which is a level from 1 to 6.
but i don't believe its used or there's a GUI to it.

it could be made so it retrieves generic artwork by default or none at all..

ultimately, it's a behaviour/preferences.

I believe the original author (Robert McNamara) also preferred to have
nothing, as myth would get no data , but may get data in a future run.

which is a very valid choice indeed.

If i was to make it take a generic image, by default it wouldn't get
replaced in the future should a more accurate data be provided.

so maybe some smartness needs to also be added, so not only does it
retrieve a generic, but it allows it to be updated with more accurate
artwork later on...
hopefully it won't be too hard to do
