Thanks; an interesting thought, but my client is a TV. I doubt that it
has a persistent cache. The list of 'Music' files it displays agrees
with 'All tracks' in mythfrontend 'Select Music', including the case
when an empty folder has been scanned, but it seems that Myth is not
able to identify the file from the (unexpectedly large) reference ID
number passed back to it from the TV.

In these tests I'm going back to the screen that selects the server
after I have made any change. Sometimes I have to do this, because
'Connection to the server failed', but for tests it seems best to do it
anyway.

All this is the same with my myth 0.24.3/CentOS5 box (and the same TV)-
including the unexpectedly large ref ID - but from that installation the
music plays. Duration is shown as zero, though. Ticket #12181 has more
info and logs, but the 'current' version was then 0.27.1
