it's the IPv6 address set on the master backend that caused the problem...

If it was not set, then the MBE would consider that the remote storage
group was instead local and not remote.
It would scan the path , which wouldn't exist and remove the file

I've fixed the issue, I'll push shortly and backport it to fixes/0.27)
