MythTV does not currently have any control over transcoding performed by

MythTV does not use DLNA to record from a HDHomeRun, and as always, 
MythTV does not play well with others. If you are using a HDHomeRun 
externally over DLNA when MythTV wants to record from it, bad things may 
happen.
